This paper outlines the background which culminated to the morass of economic recession. The phenomenon of recession are discussed briefly with the various attempts which governments have made to address the frightening situation of economic recession. Then the role of education as an institution in the process of economic recovery are highlighted, drawing heavily from educational and economic developmental theories.

Mathematics is one of the core subjects in secondary schools and a credit pass is required in it for gaining admission into tertiary institutions. In a secondary school setting, every classroom is made up of students with heterogeneous ability levels. This study, therefore, investigated the effect of drill-and-practice instructional package on achievement and attitude of students with low, average and high ability levels in Mathematics. The study adopted pretest, posttest quasi-experimental design. Sixty-four (64) students selected through multistage sampling procedure made up the sample.

The study examined curbing drug abuse among secondary school students through counselling strategies. Five research questions and one hypothesis guided the study. The descriptive survey design was utilized for the study. A total of 225 teachers constituted the sample for this study. The population of the study comprised all school teachers’ teachers in Ukwuani, Delta State Nigeria. Consensus samplings method was used in the study since all the 16 public secondary schools in Ukwuani, Delta State constituted the sample size.

This study investigated the relationship between timber exploitation and forest resources degradation in Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State. A theory was adopted to guide the study. To achieve the purpose of this study, a specific objective and null hypothesis were formulated. The review of related literature was carried out accordingly in line with the specific objectives raised. Survey research design was adopted for the study. The area of the study was Etung LGA, Cross River State. The target population was all household members aged 18 and above.

This study explores the effectiveness of collaborative teaching and learning strategies for entrepreneurship skills acquisition among Home Economics students in Lagos State. The research focuses on the demographics of the participants, collaborative learning practices, the effects of collaboration in Home Economics entrepreneurship education, obstacles to collaborative learning and identifies the most effective collaborative learning practices for the 21st century.

This study assesses the role of teachers in classroom management in secondary schools in Benue State. The study was guided by four research questions. Four hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted a descriptive research design. The population of the study consisted of 3878 teachers in the 197 public secondary schools Benue State out of which a sample of 363 respondents in 24 public secondary schools in Benue State representing 12% of the public secondary school in the study Area was sampled.

The study examined manpower determination and academic staff job performance in Nigeria universities. It looked at how manpower determination is related to the performance of academic staff in Nigerian Universities. The descriptive survey design was used for this study. The population of the study consisted of 154 Deans, 849 Heads of Department and 11,828 academic staff in Southwest Nigeria Universities. The sample was one thousand eight hundred (1,800) respondents, comprising 20 Deans, 70 Heads of Department and 1,710 academic staff.

This study examines role of religion in conflict resolution in Southern Kaduna. The study was guided by two research questions. 2 hypotheses were formulated ant tested. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design which explores and describes the opinions, feelings, views, preferences and attitudes of the selected sample of the population of the study. The population of this study consisted of 2760 cleargy menin religious insitutions in southern Kaduna. The sample of the study is 249 respondents (clergy men).

This research investigated the influence of ICT usage on lecturers’ proficiency in teaching during COVID-19 in private universities in Oyo and Osun States, Nigeria. The study was guided by three research questions. Mixed-methods approach was adopted. The population comprised all staff (both academic and non-academics) in private universities in Oyo and Osun states. The study adopted quantitative and qualitative data types using both primary and secondary data sources.
