During the past four decades, there has been an increased involvement of the federal government of Nigeria on the nomadic education programme. The rationale for the government’s participation was to integrate the nomads into the mainstream of the Nigerian society. This objective is far from being accomplished considering the incessant conflicts between the host farmers and nomadic pastoralist which resulted in loss of lives and properties in recent times.

One of the goals of university education is to build on desirable informal family values and norms acquired by the student from the home. Unfortunately, some students from broken homes have not been able to acquire such values, and so they experience a complex array of psychosocial health conditions which could influence their academic achievements in school. The study therefore, examined the psychosocial health effects of broken homes on Health Education achievements of undergraduates in the University of Benin.
Rural communities in Nigeria are plagued by attendant underdevelopment characterized by abject poverty and lack or inadequate social amenities such as health facilities, good roads, portable water, schools, shelter etc. However, successive governments in Nigeria mapped-out several programmes in order to bring about rural development but to no avail owing fomarity to lack of involvement of the people concerned in such programmes. It is against this background that this paper examines the role of community development in promoting sustainable rural development in Nigeria.
Career choice has been a recurrent problem among the students all over the world including Nigeria. It was a common practice in those days to find particular careers associated with particular families, where a blacksmiths son was destined to become a blacksmith and a leader’s son a born leader. This study therefore, examined the roles of parents and peer group on career choice of students of Technical schools with the hope of encouraging positive career choice. A non experimental research type of ex-post-facto was adopted in this study.

The study examined the effect of semantic mapping strategy on lower primary school pupils’ reading comprehension, reading speed and reading fluency in Ekiti State. The study adopted the pretest -posttest control group quasi experimental research design. The population for the study consisted of lower primary three pupils in Ekiti State. The sample consisted of 30 (thirty) primary three pupils in two intact classes in lower primary schools selected using random sampling technique. Two local government areas were used for this study.
This paper examined the psycho-social predictor of anti-social behaviours among adolescents in secondary schools in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. two hypotheses were developed by the researcher. The descriptive research design of the ex- post facto type was adopted for this study. The population of this study comprises of all adolescent students in public secondary school in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The study sample consisted of one hundred and fifty (200) respondents from five public secondary schools in Ijebu North Local Government.
The misuse and abuse of substance by in-school adolescents has become a global issue and Nigeria is not exempted. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of substance abuse on psycho-social behaviour and academic performance of senior secondary school students in Ilorin Metropolis. Two research questions and two research hypotheses were answered and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The sample for the study comprised 220 SS1-3 students. The data collected were analyzed using mean, percentage and PPMC.

As an experimental study, the study adopted a three-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of 16,477 Junior Secondary School students in Ekiti State during the 2016/2017 academic session. The sample consisted of 243 Junior Secondary class II students from six Junior Secondary Schools in Ekiti State.

Similarly, failure of Government to strictly enforce its existing laws against drug abuse through its regulatory agencies is also a contributory factor to youths getting involved in drug abuse specifically, Secondary School students who will be our future leaders.
