Nigeria's democratic system faces significant challenges, including corruption, ethnic and religious divisions, and electoral malpractices. This paper critically examines the complexities of Nigeria's democratic journey, exploring how the entrenched bimodal triangle of ethnicity, religion, and accountability has imperilled the country's political landscape. Through a Socratic lens, this research interrogates the tensions between these forces and Nigeria's democratic experiment, seeking to understand their impact on the country's democracy.
