The study examined the nature of classroom assessment practice of secondary school teachers and how this could sustain national development. A survey research was carried out on senior secondary three class (SS3) students in Southwest Nigeria. Two senior secondary schools were selected from schools in each of the six state capitals in Southwest and 50 SS3 students were selected from each of the selected schools through simple random sampling technique. Total student sample used was 600. Three research questions were answered and one hypothesis was tested at P<0.05.

The paper investigates stakeholders’ perception on some critical issues in Open and Distance Learning institutions (ODL) in Nigeria. It also seeks to clarify whether there is any significant difference in stakeholders’ perception between staff of dual-mode and unimodal institutions. The scope covers institutions in Nigeria that operate dual-mode instructional delivery where regular face-to-face university instructional system co-exists with online delivery mode, and unimode institution.
The study investigated the Psychometric effect of multiple choice response item options on secondary school students’ Performance in Economics Test. The population for this study consists of all senior secondary school students in Itu L.G.A of Akwa-Ibom State, Nigeria. 3x3x2 Schematic type of Quasi-experimental design was used for this study. A sample of three hundred (300) students from Six Senior Secondary Schools was selected through a simple random sampling technique.
The study investigated the perception of Adult Education as a discipline among students of the University of Benin, Benin City. A total of 320 undergraduate and post graduate students of the Department of Adult and Non-formal Education, University of Benin, who were registered for the 2016/2017 academic session constituted the study’s sample. It was drawn using a stratified and a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire titled: Students’ Perception of Adult Education Questionnaire (SPAEQ) which contained 20 items.
It is widely acknowledged that job involvement is a construct that has great potential to enhance employee performance. Despite efforts by various organisations to improve the level of job involvement of their employees in order to achieve organisational goal, many organisations are still battling with poor job involvement of their employees and this has become a major concern to researchers over the years and as the decline continues so does the search for solutions.
Mentoring is not a new concept and there is no doubt that it is essential for fostering the success of student nurses’ education career. The aim of this paper is to discuss nursing researcher as a mentor in tertiary health institutions in the Gambia based on a review of the literature. Very few tertiary health institutes exist in The Gambia. The advent of higher nursing education (under and post graduate) is very recent.
Workers are the producers of wealth, indeed they are wealth creators. The surplus value from this wealth most times is appropriated to the detriment of the workers who produce it. The relationship between the workers and their employers is mainly determined by how management meet-up with the workers’ wages in an organization. Nigeria as a nation currently experienced a serious economic recession between 2016 and 2017. During this period, money in circulation is few and scarce.
Reports have shown that lecturers are burdened with both academic and non academic works in College of education without commensurate welfare packages. In view of this the current research work investigated lecturers’ workload as correlate academic achievement of students in History and Policy of Education in Kwara State Colleges of Education. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The instrument used for the study was titled Lecturers’ as correlate of Academic Achievement of students Rating Scale (LWOAASRS).
The study examined the influence of Open and Distance Education on access and quality of entrants to University Education. In particular the study examined the extent to which distance education has improved access to universities and whether improvement in access has led to decline in quality entrants in universities. It also sought to know whether differences existed in terms of quality of entrants between Dual and Uni -mode distance learning university. Three research questions were raised and three hypotheses formulated. Descriptive research design of the survey type was used.
This study examined financial resource situation as correlates of academic staff job performance in universities in Southwest Nigeria. A descriptive research of the survey design was used to carry out the study. The population for the study consisted of all students and staff in all the public universities in Southwest Nigeria. The research utilized two sets of instruments titled ‘Academic Staff Job Performance Questionnaire’ (ASJPQ) and ‘Allocated Funds and Academic Staff Job Performance Questionnaire’ (AFASJPQ) for students and academic staff respectively.
