It has been observed that senior secondary school students have several misconceptions of the concept of photosynthesis and respiration in plants arising from textbooks and teaching method used in teaching biology in secondary schools in Edo State. These two issues have led to the poor conceptual understanding and performances in examinations witnessed in the subject over the years.

University education is a critical component of human capital development worldwide. It is also an avenue of self-actualization for most people in the learning process. However, the vast majority of prospective students are denied access to University education especially the disabled individuals due to limited space. Open and Distance education therefore becomes the viable option as it accommodates millions of students who can study from the comfort of wherever they live or work.
Education is fundamental human right and it is essential instrument in realising one’s potentials. A key aim of education is to give all citizens the necessary skills and values to improve their quality of life. The primary school education is the foundation laying process that provides the child with the necessary environment and stimulus for learning how to acquire the knowledge of what he needs to cope with life, in proportion with his age, ability and aptitude, in his environment so that he can live a meaningful and useful life in the community.
This study investigated teachers’ personality indices (professional status, experience and career interest) as correlates of students' academic achievement in Senior Secondary School core subjects in Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State, Nigeria. The aim was to identify teacher personality indices in order to re-focus attention on such indices especially as they relate to students’ academic achievement in public secondary schools. Four null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance.

Of course scholars and educationists have hinged the incidence of moral decadence on our educational practice.

The effectiveness of a library as a facility for education is determined by the success to which the library is able to provide and satisfy users’ information need. This study is based on the use of electronic library in the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti. The purpose of the study is to identify the facilities available, reasons why the students use e-library, how often are its uses and the challenges the students encountered in the course of accessing e-library. The research design for the study is a descriptive survey. Four research questions guided the study.
The study investigated the effects of laboratory work and field work practical teaching strategies on academic achievement of senior secondary school biology students. It also investigated the effects of attitude and gender on the measure outcome. A quasi-experiment pre-test post-test control group design was adopted in which treatment (at four levels) was crossed with attitude (at two levels) and gender (at two levels). Sample consisted of 146 SS2 biology (86 males and 60 females) drawn from four intact classes randomly selected from four senior secondary schools.

The Town on the other hand refers to the world of works or Industry where graduates are expected to secure employment to earn a living and monetary capacity to improve their standard of living.
